Sparrow was surprised by his questions, and she just replied, “Yeah”.

Just by a mere glimpse of the item in his palm, she was pretty sure it belonged to Phoenix, “Yeah, of course. A pattern that a phoenix was about to fly is carved here. There is also a very precious diamond embedded at the phoenix’s eye. Her Highness is really fond of it. She takes it wherever she goes. She has kept it for three hundred years. How could I don’t remember it?”

His hand, holding the jade flute, was trembling like crazy.

Then he came to himself and asked, “But do you know how did she get it?”

“Well...” On seeing his serious looks, Sparrow didn’t dare to speak.

But she put up the courage and decided to tell him the truth.

“I still remember that it was three hundred years ago when I first saw it. Her Highness said that it was given by a young man. He gave it to her for thanking her saved his lives and even played a very beautiful song for her... as long as she played the song, that man will sense it and show up immediately. But Her Highness said she might not need that guy to help her.”

Sparrow stole a glance at him, only to find that his face was much more pale than Her Highness’s.

He recalled the Phoenix played the song extremely sad on that stone bridge that day.

So...

The flute was Phoenix’s...

So he made a big mistake!

Watching her sleeping soundly, Jun Mohan’s head was stuck and he stepped back out of a sudden.

Who should he believe any way?

If Sparrow was telling the truth, then it was Phoenix that saved him!

He’d been wrong for all these years!

But if it was... How did Snow know these details between them? This was impossible!

Impossible! Impossible!

“Bang!” There came a loud sound and a gust of strong wind. Sparrow blinked her eyes and found Jun Mohan had already left the chamber.

She looked away, a sense of doubt appeared on her face.

Then who was lying? Who was lying?

A voice roared in his mind, “Jun Mohan, that’s it! Open your eyes! You idiot!”

All long buried memories flew into his head.

This would explain——

Three hundred years ago, when he first met Phoenix at the Celestial Court.

He felt her voice was familiar as if he had heard it before...

But why? Why he didn’t ask her more?

Why he didn’t treat her well during the previous three hundred years...

Three hundred years ago, Jun Mohan led the troop to have a battle against the Asmodians. But they were caught in their ambush. None of them survived but he managed to escape. However, his was burnt by the flame of hell and his eyes were smoked to blind. He escaped randomly.

When he fell onto the beach by the West Sea and thought he was going to die, Seven appeared and saved him.

Her kindness, her tenderness, her consideration, all of which were unforgettable to him.

She cured him and took great care for him, but she never asked him a word about his identity. Even when these Asmodians soldiers came there, she took great risks and drew them off.

She seemed to have something urgent to do but she stayed for he was badly injured and took good care of him.

He knew that all she did was because she had a good nature.

Back then, there was an isolated apricot flower valley at the south of West Sea. It was the blossom season, sweet flower fragrance was everywhere, which was extremely fascinating.

“Well... Let me help you...” The maiden lifted her hand up and combed his raven dark hair by her soft fingers.

His hair was thick, black, shiny, and as sleek as finest silk.

“You have great hair even better than me.”

“Well, how’s it going?”

“Ah, sorry, I forget that you couldn’t see.”

Jun Mohan reached his hand and touch his head, then he beamed, “That’s really nice. Thank you.”

“Can you tell me you name?”

He knew it was not appropriate that he asked her name even though he hadn’t tell her his. But he wanted to know her name.

There was a moment of silence and then she said, “Seven, my name is seven.”

“Seven...” He repeated it.

He was wearing a mask. Although it was bad for his recovery, he didn’t want his hell flame burnt face to scare her.

She sighed and replied, “I have wasted a lot of time--even a Dragon Ball from the West Sea--to save you, I nearly miss my mission...”

“I have never taken care of someone else before. This is great, I helped you recover, comb you hair, change your clothes and collect fruits... I have made lots of efforts... It has been a long time and my brothers must be very anxious now. So you must remedy me after you get well...”

He just wanted to have his sight back, because he was eager to see her face!

He thought to himself that if he returned to the Fairy Land, if he could regain his appearance and sight, he would come back to her.

And told her he had fallen in love with her.

He had been thinking how to thank her kindness. Before he left, he taught her a song and gave her the jade flute with him. He promised that whenever she was in danger, she just played the flute and he would come to rescue her. She laughed and accepted it.

Then people from Fairy Land came for him. West Sea soldiers also came with them.

It had been three years when he finally got well. So he anxiously came to the West Sea Dragon Palace with some extremely precious gifts. He asked the Dragon Emperor, “Do you have a princess whose name is Seven?”

The Dragon Emperor nodded but he was not pretty sure--his most beloved seventh daughter, Snow, had a pet name called Seven.

Jun Mohan thought he would delightfully marry his daughter to him. But he was only told that Snow had already engaged with the Celestial prince and he could just walk away.

Then three hundred years later, when Snow came to him...
